COPPINGER, Stella Margie Stella Margie Coppinger, 89, of McMinnville passed away July 21,1999. Coppinger was born December 1, 1909 in Grundy County, the daughter of John Gross and Frances King. She attended Philadelphia Baptist Church. Services were held Thursday, July 22, 1999 in the chapel of High Funeral Home with burial in Philadelphia Cemetery. Glyn Killian officiated. Survivors included two sons, J.C. Coppinger of McMinnville, Frank Coppinger, Jr. of McMinnville; two sisters, Elizabeth Gross of Altamont, TN, Ollie Belle Tate of Altamont, TN; one brother, Leonard Gross of Beersheba Springs, TN; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Coppinger was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Coppinger; sister Helen Wanamaker; and brothers Fred and J.L. Gross. High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
