Funeral for Louella Cordell Mills, who died Friday at a local hospital after a years illness with cancer, will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Hazen & Jaeger's in the Valley.
Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to Cancer Research, Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born in Orofino, Idaho, she was a 50-year area resident. She was a graduate of West Valley High School and had been a dispensing optician for Western Optical since 1974.
During World War II, Mrs. Mills served in the Coast Guard. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Teamsters union Local 334. Her home was in the Spokane Valley.
Surviving are her husband, George B. Mills of the Spokane Valley; two sons, Jeff Deck, who is serving with the Marine Corps. in Korea, and Brian Deck, of Portland, Oregon; her mother, Edna Cordell of Spokane; one brother, Harry A. Cordell of Spokane; and several nieces and nephews.
