Clarence A. Beatty, 65, rural Williamsburg, passed away late Tuesday at his home following an extended illness.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Roy B. and Clara M. (Miller) Beatty. He married Susan M. Strayer on June 18, 2005 at Mines United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg.

Surviving is his beloved wife, Susan of rural Williamsburg; an aunt, Lois McFarland; a sister-in-law, Mary Beatty; and cousins: Cora Bernadine Chesney and John D. Frye; and numerous other relatives that loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Charles Raymond and Roy M.; 3 sisters: Virgie J. Kinley, Anna Miller, and Bernice Dumm.

Clarence attended the Mines United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg and had attended the Williamsburg schools.

He had been employed as a snow maker at the Blue Knob Ski Resort and had worked for a tree farm in Mount Etna, rural Williamsburg.

Clarence loved spending time with his family, especially at picnics in the summertime.

Friends will be received from 1pm until the 2pm memorial service, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Royer United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg, Pastor Gordie Trimer officiating.

Memorial donations can be given to the family to help with expenses.
