OBITUARY
May 23, 1935 "Democrat-Union"
Lawrenceburg, Tennessee
Last Saturday morning, William Franklin Littrell died suddenly on a road near Appleton. He was 72 and was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama. He came to Lawrence County at the age of 21. He married Miss Arrie Cottrell and this union was blessed with three daughters and one son. His daughters, Bertha Cole and Carrie Augusta White, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, who is very feeble; his daughter, Chloe Clarice Nicholson; his son, Linus Sebastin Littrell; his brother, Jesse Walton Littrell; and his sisters, Amanda Caroline Hunt, Nancy Ellen Hammond, and Sara Rowena Hammond. He served as Justice of the Peace in the third district and served one term on County Board of Education. His remains were laid to rest last Sunday in Dobbins Cemetery in the presence of one of the largest crowds ever seen there for a funeral. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. J. McConnell. Belew Brothers of Lexington, Alabama was undertaker in charge.
