Barbara J. Beebe, 68, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016.

Services will be 2:00p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Caps United Methodist Church, 6501 Hwy 277 South with Pastor Steve Longmire officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be this evening, Tuesday from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Parks, Corey Lyles, Christopher Malicoat, Shawn Franklin, Rusty Shakelford, Gregg Smith, and Jessie Bailes.

Barbara was born in Kansas City, MO on August 9, 1947 to Thomas Burton and Zola Thorton.

She enjoyed being around family and spending time with all of her grandchildren.

Barbara was a member of Caps United Methodist Church as well as working there taking care of the church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, John; a daughter, Mary Jane Thomas; a grandson, Robert Thomas; two sisters; and four brothers.

Survivors include six sons, Gary Thomas and wife, Kathy of Abilene, John Thomas and wife, Julia of Belfair Bluffs, FL, Billy Thomas of Wisconsin, Scottie Thomas of Abilene, and Darryl Beebe and Jason Beebe of Kansas; two daughters, Linda Helmuth and husband, Brian of Abilene, and Brenda Faulkner and husband, Eric of Missouri; two sisters, Carol McBride of Illinois, and Zola Combs of Missouri; 24 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Barbara's name may be made to American Cancer Society.
