Margie Elizabeth Brubaker was the daughter of William R. and Elizabeth Rose Brubaker. She was raised in the Cordell community and while in her youth became a member of the Church of the Brethren near Cordell. She married Price Howell May 26, 1923 and they farmed near Cordell until Price became associated with the Public Service Company of Oklahoma.
They moved to Carnegie in 1950 where he was employed by Public Service company. In 1959 he was transferred to Cheyenne.
One son, Harold of Cordell;
One daughter, Mrs. Retha Howard of Ulysses, KS;
Five grandchildren, Linda and Lynn Dale Howell of Cordell, Larry, Vickie and Cheryl of Ulysses;
Seven sisters, Mrs. Lillie Hamit of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Ina Shreiner of Nampa, Idaho, Mrs. Sarah Brubaker of Denver, Miss Lula Brubaker of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Viola Best of Cordell, Mrs. Esther Heathcoat of Weatherford, and Mrs. Ruth Quine of Cordell;
One brother, Gilbert Brubaker of Los Banos, CA.
