Brenda Joyce (Calvert) Angell

Died: Wed., Dec. 21, 2011

SANTA FE - Brenda Joyce Angell passed away on December 21, 2011 at the age of 62. She was born in Dallas, TX and graduated from Sunset High School in 1967. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Baylor University, and later a Master’s Degree from East Texas State University. She spent most of her career teaching elementary school in Dallas, and later moved to Santa Fe in 2002, where she continued teaching for 3 years until she retired. Brenda was a talented singer, pianist and a devoted wife and mother of three children.

She is survived by her husband Randy Angell, her three children, Scott, Kelly, and Rebecca Angell, daughter-in-law, Yu, and a grandson, Christopher, as well as her parents, Grady and Helen Calvert of Dallas. She leaves behind her sister Gwen Kimrey, and two brothers, Bert and Curt Calvert.

Arrangements are pending for a memorial service in Dallas, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Libbie’s Place, 2803 53rd St., Galveston, TX 77551.
