William Albert Alderson, 81, of Clarksville died Thursday, August 23, 2012 at St. Vincent's in Little Rock.

He was born September 24, 1930, in Clarksville, the son of Elmer and Lillian Smith Alderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Frank Alderson; and a great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Alderson.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Patti Alderson of Appleton; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Story of Tonica, IL, Mary and Louie Goemmer of Morrilton, Pam and Allan Bull of Perryville and JoEllen and David Stapp of Morrilton; brother, Johnny Alderson of California; 6 sisters, Wanda O'Brien of Richardson, TX, Betty Holman of Royce City, TX, Lola Wood of Lamar, Mary Thomas of Clarksville, Daisy Ann Zenker of Hinola, TX, and Ruby Roby of Howe, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Carrell Hanna Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
