Mike was born the son of Lloyd Franklin and Shirley Ann (Cain) Barnard on September 14, 1954, in Braymer, Missouri. He served as a Private 1st Class in the United States Army. He worked for Whites Auto Supply in Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years, and had a Camaro and Harley Davidson that he was very proud of. Mike was a member of the Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri. He was an avid fan of Hank Williams Jr. and the Rolling Stones. He was also a Yankees and KC Royals baseball fan. Mike was very patriotic and loved his family and friends. He had a big heart of gold.
Survivors include one son, Christopher Scott Barnard and wife Rhonda; two daughters, Kelly Barnard and Kendra Barnard; five grandchildren, Brett, Riley, Logan, Jada and Bayley; one sister, Patricia (Patty Lou) McPheeters; one nephew, Blake McPheeters; a special cousin, Angie Kincaid; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at 11:30 a.m.
