Arthur Dale Foltz, known by family and friends as Dale, passed away quietly on March 3, 2016.
Born Aug. 10, 1922, to Paul and Hazel Foltz of Clinton, he was truly part of the Greatest Generation.
Dale farmed in rural Clinton and retired from Peabody Coal in 1981. Dale was a long time member of Wayside United Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching his children
participate in 4-H and sports events, his family, crossword puzzles, The Clintonian, ISU and Purdue basketball, and chatting at length with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his much loved wife of nearly 60 years, Dorothy June Travis Foltz.
Survivors include five children, Warren (Anita) Foltz of West Lafayette, Mary Ann (Randy) Tatlock of Zionsville, Eleanor Aimone of Clinton, Dean (and Melanie) Foltz of
Gilbert, Ariz. and Amy Willis of St. Augustine, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, Michelle, Mitch, Nick, Chris, Kate, Caleb, Mario, Jon, Becky, Kristina, Nate, Tara and Trey; 10
great-grandchildren, Daniel, Hannah,Veronica, Alex, Xavier, Ada, Gideon, Nora, Halle and Burke; and one great-great-grandchild, Sophia.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Roselawn Funeral Home in North Terre Haute with Rev. Terry Jeffers officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until services Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wayside United Methodist Church.
