Jack David Elgin, 59, of Fountain Inn, SC has gone home to his Savior and Lord on Thursday, February 25, 2016. He was a native of Belton, SC. Jack was the son of the late David Eugene Elgin and is survived by his mother Betty Willingham Elgin and is survived by his mother Betty Willingham Elgin Belton, SC. In addition to his mother, Jack is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Janice Elgin, of Fountain Inn, SC, and his sisters Nancy (John) Rowell of Georgetown, SC and Carol (Tommy) Cothran of Belton, SC.
Jack was a graduate of Belton-Honea Path High School. He also received an Associate's Degree from Tri-County Technical College. Jack served three years stateside in the US Army, Big Red One Division during peace-time. He also worked in auto repair, carpentry, and retail industries. An avid gardener, he loved to fish, and was a big NASCAR fan. Jack also loved his two cats, Butch and Sundance.
Services were held at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daryle Hawthorne officiating. Burial followed at M.J.Dolly Cooper Veteran Cemetery.
