He attended seminary school before joining the U.S. Army abt. 1951. He served in both the 82nd and the 101st Airborne. He married first in 1952, Ms. Barbara Dean Jones, of Bucktunna, Dec. 1951. Three children were born of his first marriage.
He was stationed at Ft. Devon, Ma., Ft. Campbell, Ky., and Ft. Bragg, N.C. He also served several tours of duty in German and Okinawa.
By 1960, Kenneth resigned from military service and he married Ms. O'Mera McMichael of Wayne Co. Two sons were born of the marriage. He was also father to two daughters born of his wife's previous marriage.
He, with his family, made a happy home, residing in Buckatunna for the remainder of his years. He worked at various jobs over the years, including managing the Hardee's restaurant in Waynesboro before his declining health forced his early retirement. He, proudly, was Constable in Wayne Co. for a time.
Kenneth enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and trapping in his leisure. He enjoyed calling Bingo games at various events and playing cards or monopoly in the evenings.
Before his death, he became acquainted with his biological half-siblings which was a joyous union at his home. He never knew his biological mother or father, but he and his wife warmly welcomed his "new" brothers and sisters, yet, he still maintained his proud Dail heritage until the time he departed this world.
Kenneth was survived by his grieving widow, two sons, 5 daughters, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, one aunt, Mrs. Mamie Dail Cooper, and one grandchild, Daniel Shane Coxwell of Waynesboro, Ms.
