Retta E Stottlemyre, a 91 year-old resident of Trenton, formerly of jamesport, passed away Tuesday morning, June 12, 2001 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, June 14, 2001 at the Bram Funeral Home in Jamesport. Burial will be in the Reshaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from noon to 7 pm today (Wednesday, June 13, 2001) and between 9 am to noon on Thursday, June 14, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Stottlemyre was born Oct 17, 1909 near Princeton, the daughter of Marian A Barnes and Matilda C Washburn Barnes. She attended Princeton Schools and graduated from Princeton High School. She lived in Jamesport before moving to Trenton in May 2000. A homemaker, Mrs Stottlemre was employed by the Plazas Hotel in Trenton for amost 15 years a housekeeper. She married Cleo I Stottlemyre on Jan 10, 1931 He preceded her in death on Jan 10, 1967. Mrs Stottlemyre was a member of the Jamesport Church of Christ and was baptized on Apr 30, 1967 by Brother Melvin Stanton. She was active in the Gallatin Senior Citizens Center and coordinated the OATS bus schedule.

Mrs Stottlemyre is survived by one sister, Cleo Hoskins of Princeton; one brother, John P Houk of Davenport, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Mrs Stottlemyre was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Ellen Willis, Mildred Gannon, Marion J Barnes, and Gretchen Mulvania; and one brother, Walter Barnes.
