Obituary for Debora Joy Simpson
Debora Joy Simpson, age 59, went into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by her family on March 17, 2013.

Debbie was born in Neck City, Missouri on February 2, 1954 to Edward Henson and Bernice Henson. She was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, Victor Henson and Roy "Mick" Henson and a sister Beverly Williams.

Debbie was a life-long resident of Neck City. She was a Webb City graduate. Debbie met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Simpson and they were married on July 22, 1982. He also preceded her in death. They were blessed with their only son, Joshua Bryce.

Debbie was employed by Oak Hill/Freeman Hospital for 34 years and was loved and respected by friends and coworkers in her many years of service.

Debbie was an avid "rummager" and she could always find a great bargain. She was a very active member of New Providence Baptist Church and loved working with the youth group. Before her husband, Bob's, passing, you could usually find them outside together hosting a get-together. She also loved spoiling her only two granddaughters by going shopping, to the movies, or anywhere she could tote them.
Debbie was a very strong, proud and protective woman and will be deeply missed by a large host of family, friends and coworkers.

Debbie is survived by her only son, Josh and wife, Anna and granddaughters, Brianna and Callie, Webb City, MO; brothers Edward Henson and wife Helen, Cordova, TN; Mike Henson and wife Jan, Purcell, MO; Mark Henson and wife Raquel, Webb City, MO; Doug Henson and wife Susan, Redings Mill, MO; sisters Karen Williams and husband Jim, Joplin, MO; Kathy Kramer, Burton, TX; and Lori Dennis, Coffeyville, KS; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and family friends.

Debbie has been taken for cremation.

The family will have memorial services on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at New Providence Baptist Church in Oronogo with Reverend Larry Shumaker officiating. Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Visit www.simpsonfh.com for online condolences.
