Mrs. Alice Babcock, aged 83, one of the oldest and most respected residents of Turners Falls died suddenly from heart failure yesterday afternoon while visiting relatives in Greenfield.
She was a native of Cornwall, England, and has lived in Turners Falls for the past ten years. She is survived by one son, Martin Tippett, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from the home of her grandson, William Tippett on Canal street in Turners Falls. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery.
