He was born February 15, 1937, in Middleburg, son of Walter Lee and Bertha Heddleson Clark. He spent his youth in Noble County and in 1959, he joined the United States Air Force and served his country for ten years. He left the Air Force to take over the family farm in Senecaville, which was his passion until his health failed later in life. He retired from Columbia Gas Transmission following 24 years of service, and he attended and was a founding member of the Caldwell Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed fishing and feeding his fish, and he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, George Lee Clark, and Arthur Leland “Buzz” Clark.
