Benjamin was baptized at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York on 24 Mar. 1685. He was the son of Jean (John) Petit à Baignoux (a.k.a. Benew, etc.) and Anna Hoedt. He is believed to be the same son who drowned with the father at Nantucket Shoals in Sep-Oct. 1692. See the father's memorial for further information.
