SERVICES FRIDAY FOR MRS FRANCIS--
Mrs Nancy Ann Francis, 79, of Cainsville, a telephone operator in Mercer County for 18 years, died Jan 19 at the home of a son, George Johnson, of Cainsville. Because of deep snow funeral services were not held until last Friday at the Stocklosa Funeral Home, Cainsville. Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery. Mrs Francis, a daughter of Marion and Martha Overton Frakes, was born Feb 8, 1879, near Alvord in Mercer County. She operated telephone exchanges at Goshen and Saline in the early 1900's for a total of 18 years. She was married Oct 20, 1897 to James L Johnson who died Aug 6, 1914. They were the parents of two sons, George Johnson, Cainsville; Robert Johnson, Princeton; three daughters, Mrs Ona Waldron and Mrs Nellie Cain, both of Cainsville, and Mrs Clara Waldron, Princeton. She was married February 19, 1921, to AW Boyd who died Feb 15, 1935. They were the parents of one daughter, Mrs Gladys Alfred. On Sept 27, 1951, she was married to CA Francis who survives. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church. In addition to her hsuband and her children, she leaves a sister, Mrs Lily McAdams of Kansas City; 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
