Catherine Martin, 64, wife of Andrew Acker, died suddenly from heart trouble on her birthday anniversary yesterday, after an illness of an hour and a half, at her home, 20 Close street. Mrs. Acker had not been well since November. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Joseph's church, of which she was a member. She was also a member of the Rosary society. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery, Stop 4, Albany road.
Mrs. Acker was born in this city and attended the public and parochial schools here. Forty years ago she married Mr. Acker of this city. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Acker; one sister, Mrs. John Beaver; two brothers, John and Henry Martin, and a grandson, Edward, all residents of this city.
