Galen had been serving our country overseas during World War II. It was there he had developed Gangrene. He then returned to the United States, the West Coast, San Francisco, California. Upon his return the Gangrene was so advanced it was his request that no family see him this way. It was there in San Francisco he passed away, was later transported back to Lake Wilson, Mn. where he was buried with family.
