Mr. Brooks a native of Wilkinson County made his home in Milledgeville. He was retired from Englehard Kaolin and was a member of Hardwick Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Janice Folendore Brooks. He served in the United States Army and Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his children Guerry Brooks and Kay Williams of Milledgeville and Lynn Bragg of Carrollton, brothers, Harrell Brooks of Milledgeville and Everett Brooks of Gordon, sisters, Margaret Lavender of Gordon and Sara Arvin of Ohio, 7 grandchildren, one great grandchild.
