Adeline E. Brehmer, age 100, of Fremont, died on Sunday, February 28, 2016, at St. Joseph Residence in New London. She was born on June 24, 1915, the daughter of the late Edwin and Amelia(Siewert) Luedtke. On November 11, 1933, Adeline married Lorance Brehmer at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1988. Adeline was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Readfield and their Ladies Aid. She was a homemaker, raising her children, but also worked in New London at Coast to Coast, Markman's Department Store and New London Engineering. Adeline lived on the family farm until she moved to Trinity Terrace in 2013. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, painting, sewing, and playing cards. Adeline is survived by three daughters, Joan(Clifford "Ed") Roman; Jean(James)Swanson; and Jeri Hoerning, all of New London; two sons, James(Jeannie);and Jan(Jane), both of Appleton; 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Anita and Alice; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Brehmer and a son-in-law, Duane Hoerning. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church, N985 County Rd. W, Readfield. Rev. Peter Kesting will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 4-7PM at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont and on Friday, at the church, from 10AM until the time of service.
