Ima "Jean" Wilson Foster, age 75, passed away on February 4, 2016 at the Center on Aging & Health following a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late John Laskie and Edith Lewis Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, W.T. Wilson. Those left behind to cherish her memory is her son, Tim Foster and his wife Tina, and a daughter, Alaina Maupin and her husband Brian, and their father, Kermit Foster all of Erwin. Grandchildren: Cassie Foster, Bailey Maupin, and Elijah Maupin all of Erwin, Eva Wilson and her husband Daniel, and Ashley Foster all of Morganton, NC. Great grandchildren: Elijah Wilson, Madeline Wilson, and step-great granddaughter, Kennedy Wilson all of Morganton, NC. Several nieces and nephews. Also, her dearest friend, Bernice Collins of Kingsport, TN.
Ima Jean Foster was a LPN and retired from Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, TN after 30 years of service, but worked many more years at area nursing homes until she had to retire following a car crash caused by a drunk driver.
She was a born again Christian recently rededicating her life to God at the Erwin Bible Holiness Church. She loved her church family and her family at the Clinchfield Senior Adult Center in Erwin.
Ima Jean Foster graciously donated her body to the Quillen College of Medicine for medical education.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at a Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Ima Jean Foster on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the Erwin Bible Holiness Church with Pastor Kim Casey officiating. Musical selections will be offered by the Goodman Family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Erwin Bible Holiness Church, 235 Okolona Drive, Erwin, TN or the Clinchfield Senior Adult Center in Erwin.
