On September 17, 1948, she was united in marriage to Deryl Strong at Aurora. She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church.
Rogene was a certified respiratory therapist, and was employed at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora, until the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Charlotte Griess.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Deryl; two sons, Alan of St. Libory and Calvin of Dallas, Texas; 3 daughters, Darla Svoboda of Aurora, Cheryl Smith of Wood River, and Karen Strong of Lincoln; 8 grandchildren; her mother-in-law Cecile Strong, and many other relatives and friends, and co-workers.
