Charlie Melvin "Mel" Hatcher
HOMER — Service for Mr. Charlie Melvin "Mel" Hatcher, 66, of Homer will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday Feb. 24, 15 Rose-Neath Chapel in Homer with Dr. D. Glenn Simmons officiating. Burial will be at Old Town Cemetery in Haynesville.
Mr. Hatcher died Friday, Feb. 22, 1985, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport.
Mr. Hatcher was a member of the First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge F& AM 152, and Worthy Patron of Eastern Star Chapter 145.
His survivors include his wife, Viola Hatcher of Homer; three sons, Robby D. Hatcher of Dubberly, Ronny G. "Jeep" Hatcher of Minden, A. G. Murphy of Satellite Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Mona D. Hammock of Bossier City, Bobby Sprague of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Betty Barnette of Homer; one sister, Ruth Oller of Cotton Valley; 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of his Sunday School Class.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or donor's choice.
