Sarah Jane Musgrove, was born Jan 20, 1841, and died August 8, 1924, making her age 83 years, 6 months, and 19 days. She was united in marriage to John W. Hobson September 2, 1858. Her husband preceded her in death 37 years ago. To this union was born five (should be nine) children. Mrs. Louisa Burnett, Samuel Hobson and Evan Hobson of Licking, Mo. and Mrs. Mary Howard of Penelope, Texas. Two of her five preceded her in death. She has two sisters and two brothers (Arminda Shipp, Grace Crabtree, Henderson Musgrove and John Musgrove) gone on before her. She professed faith in early life, united with the Baptist Church and has lived a faithful Christian life since. Source: The Licking News
Death Notice Mrs. Hobson, who lived with her daughter Mrs. Burnett of Licking, died last Friday, at 9 p.m. after a lingering illness and was buried Saturday, in the Licking Cemetery. We hope to be able to print an obituary next week. We offer our sympathy to those bereaved.
