Edward Leon Bennett passed away on February 27, 2016 in Norman, Oklahoma. Ed was born on November 8, 1946 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Robert Leon and Helen LaVonne Bennett. Ed attended Holdenville High School and was a proud graduate of the Class of 1965. After high school he served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He served during Vietnam Conflict. Ed worked in sales and security for many years. He worked for Brittain Merchandising, MacTools and Lawson Products. His journeys would take him around Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Illinois, and Arizona. Ed made his home in Colorado for many years. Ed loved music and playing his drums brought him great happiness. He enjoyed animals of kinds. There was no greater pride in his life than his grandchildren. Preceding Ed in death are his parents. Memorial service is scheduled for 1:00PM on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Holdenville Cemetery Chapel. Rev. Dane Robinson will officiate the service and Bill Robinson will provide memories from the Class of 1965. Burial will follow with full military honors. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
