Funeral services for Virginia Diann Axum, 66 of Elkhart, Texas will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Rev. Wesley Veasey officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Axum passed away Monday, February 29, 2016, at Trucare Living Centers. She was born August 28, 1949, in Elkhart, to Vernon Honeycutt and Louise Parker Honeycutt. She was a beautician, and a member of Memory Lane Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Axum was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Mary Ann Mitchell. She is survived by her husband Jerry W. Axum, daughter, Vanessa Ann Axum and husband Dennis, step-daughter, Valerie Silveira, son Jerry Lynn Axum, brother Jerry (J.M. “BoBo”) Honeycutt, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Terry Dean Honeycutt, Morris Whiteside, Michael Whiteside, Michael Dennis, Marvin Roadruck, and J.D. Parker, Jr.
