Bobby was born Jun 11, 1956 in Sulphur to Bobby James and Eva Jo (Thomasson) Meador. He died Thursday, Feb 11, 2016 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 59 years and 8 months. Bobby and the late Karen D. (Kirk) Meador were married on Apr 21, 1978 in Davis. Karen preceded him in death on May 26, 1998. On May 15, 1999, Bobby and the former Sherri K. Pope were married in Davis.
Bobby grew up in Davis and was a 1974 graduate of Davis High School. Following high school he enlisted in the US Army Reserves, dedicating 13 years of service to our country. Bobby spent 28 years working as a mechanic for Southwest Electric Co of Oklahoma City. He later worked for Curwood Inc at Pauls Valley, until failing health forced him to retire in 2015. Bobby was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying nature walks, camping and simply driving around the country. He had a great love for his family and cherished his time with them. He was a member of the Chickasaw Trail Baptist Church and a past Deacon of the Joy Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Sherri; three daughters, Pamela Freeman & husband Andre` of Ardmore, Sherena Johnson & husband Travis of Durant, and Sarah Meador of the home; one son, Brandon Meador & fiancé Megan of Davis; six grandchildren, Karyn-Ann Soelberg, Malachi & Zachary Freeman, Caysen Meador and Barret & Bryson Johnson; mother, Eva Joe Meador of Purcell; and one brother Michael James Meador of Davis.
