A native of Spartanburg, she was the widow of Robert A. Freeman and daughter of the late John E. and Alice Davies Whisonant. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and was a teacher at Spartanburg High School until her retirement. She was a graduate of Converse College and was a member of the National Education Association and the S.C. Education Association.
Survivors include several cousins.
Visitation will be held a 792 Plume St. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. tomorrow in Greenlaw Memorial Gardens by Dr. Dan Youngblood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, 393 E. Main St., Box 461, Spartanburg, S.C. 29304.
