Annette “Ann” J. Adolphson, 82, of Kelly Apartments, Saxton, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at UPMC Altoona. Born March 23, 1933, in Waynesboro, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Clemmer and Mary Taylor Fitzgerald. She was united in marriage to Robert Adolphson Oct. 1, 1951, in Cumberland, Maryland. Mr. Adolphson preceded her in death July 18, 2000.
Mrs. Adolphson is survived by three children, Sheila Ford and husband, Steve, of Saxton, Wanda Sweger and husband, Brian, of Waterfall and Larry Adolphson and wife, Cindy, of Saxton; four grandchildren, Larry Adolphson Jr. and wife, Carey, Steven Ford and wife, Dawn, Bradley Sweger and wife, Stefanie and Jeff Sweger and wife, Brittney; and five great-grandchildren, Gavin and Kevin Ford and Bryleigh, Karson and Noah Sweger,
He is also survived by two siblings, Lewis Fitzgerald and Kathleen Weaver, both of Waynesboro, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Molosky, in May 2000.
Mrs. Adolphson belonged to the Robertsdale Church of God and had most recently attended the Saxton Church of God.
She was a member of the Hopewell Senior Citizens. Mrs. Adolphson was primarily a homemaker, but had worked at Quality Manufacturing in Saxton and at various care giving jobs.
She enjoyed baking, reading and embroidery. She also loved spending time with her family and, most of all, she loved the Lord.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at the Robertsdale Church of God, Robertsdale, with the Rev. Don Evans officiating. Interment will be made in the IOOF Cemetery, Broad Top City.
Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Adolphson may be made to the Robertsdale Church of God, P.O. Box 38, Robertsdale, PA 16674 or the Saxton Community Library, 315 Front St., Saxton, PA 16678.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., 5010 Railroad Ave., Broad Top City.
