Mrs. Louise S. (Stumbaugh) Kyser, 89, a resident of Quincy Village and formerly of 5611 Tick Ridge Road, Waynesboro, PA, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 in the nursing home.

Born January 19, 1926 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Mildred (Fox) Stumbaugh.

Mrs. Kyser was a graduate of Washington Township High School.

She and her husband, the late Mr. K.K. Kyser, were married February 25, 1972. Mr. Kyser passed away November 23, 2004.

Mrs. Kyser was employed as a secretary at Frick Company, Waynesboro for a number of years and later owned and operated Louise's Ceramics in Waynesboro for over 30 years. She retired in 1996.

She was a member of Otterbein Church where she served as a counselor, Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary where she was an active volunteer and President for many years, B.P.O. Elks Lodge #731 Ladies Auxiliary, the Waynesboro Country Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Mrs. Kyser was also active at Renfrew Museum and Park helping to coordinate the guide for the original homestead tours.

She enjoyed oil painting, making wedding cakes, embroidery and traveling to Williamsburg, VA.

Mrs. Kyser is survived by one son, Paul W. McCarney and his wife, Vicky of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Travis McCarney and his wife, Dawn and Danielle McCarney-Thompson and her husband, Andrew; two great-granddaughters, Alexis McCarney and Taylor McCarney; and a half-brother, Richard Lockbaum.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Stumbaugh.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro with Pastor John Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in Antietam Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday evening, in the funeral home.
