Retired mechanical and structural engineer with McGeorge-Hargett, where he designed structures for the meat packing, brewing and baking industries. He helped design the Cleveland Union Stockyards which had been damaged by fire in 1944.
Graduated Case School of Applied Science in 1914.
Survived by his wife, Marguerite; a son, Fred J Jr; a daughter, Mrs John J Alexander Jr; 3 sisters.
