Mrs. Elmer (Elsie) Cambe, 60, RFD 1, North Judson (Starke County), died at 1:30 a.m. today at her farm home after an 18 months' illness. She was born Elsie Peer in Kniman, Indiana, on April 7, 1897. She had resided near North Judson for four years coming from Winamac. On Jan. 17, 1917 in Kniman, she was married to Elmer Cambe. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Church at Wanatah.
Surviving besides the husband are three daughters, Mrs. Clara Clarke, Rensselaer; Mrs. Doris Dahn, Medaryville; and Miss Bonnie Cambe, at home; two sons, Paul Cambe, Kniman; and Alvin Cambe, East Gary; one sister, Etheal Tubbs, of Marion, OH; two brothers, David Peer, Winner, SD; and Walter Peer, Argos, IN; and 15 grandchildren.
Her parents, one brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kosanke Brothers Funeral Home of Kouts. Burial will be at Wheatfield. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
