Raised and educated in Lancaster, she resided there until coming to Kenosha in 1962. On June 11, 1954, she was united in marriage to James Schneider and they were blessed with ten children and 61 years of marriage. Phyllis was employed with K-Mart, retiring after almost 25 years. She was a member of the Kenosha Women of the Moose Chapter #155, where she enjoyed playing Euchre. She also loved baking, traveling and spending time watching her grandchildren. Phyllis was known for her ability to tell a great joke, proudly showing her mouse tattoo and keeping her home picture perfect.
Phyllis will be deeply missed by her husband, James; her ten children, Stephen (Chris), Jeffrey "Eddy" Schneider, Debbie (Mark Schneider) Duberstein, Diana (Larry) Hartung, Pamela (Andrew) Burger, Robert (Jean Morgan), Gregory, Bruce, Randall (Lori) Schneider and Justine (Frank) Rizzo; her Sister, Kate Dabbs and a brother, Harold "Buzz" (Pat) Addison. She is further survived by 33 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; her "sister" Judy Brown; and many loving nieces, nephews and many "Cabbage Patch Kids."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by their last born child, Michael, at birth; a brother, James (Pat) Addison; four sisters, Marion (Ralph) Edge, Betty (Earl) Holst, Geneva (Art) Droessler and Edna (Junior) Jerrett and two brothers-in-law, Harold Wetter and Clarence Dabbs.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home beginning with Kenosha Women of the Moose performing a Closing of the Circle service. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation for Phyllis will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 26, from 4 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
