WOOD, Mary Ailene, was born on September 1, 1928, and passed into eternity on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at age 87.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 25, at 1:00 p.m. from Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry McEndarfer officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Methodist Cemetery in Titus.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Wood; a granddaughter Connie Williams; parents John Frank Armstrong, and Irma Booth Armstrong, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her children, Horace J. (Polly) Tillery, Sharon T. (Jimmy) McQueen, Freda G. (Joe) Lucido, Ann (Buddy) Inman, Janie (Marlin-deceased) Wayde and Jerry (Earline) Wood; sister, Sue (Tom) Phillips; brother, Marvin Armstrong; grandchildren. Dennis Tillery, Daryl Tillery, Josh Lucido and Brook Lucido; great grandchildren, Tiffani Williams and Joeleigh Lucido, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Tillery, Daryl Tillery, Josh Lucido, Tommy Price, Shane Holmes and Joe Lucido.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Gassett Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the Pentecostal Life Church, 3627 Stanley St. Montgomery, AL 36109.
