Mr. Campbell began practicing law in the old Bossier Parish Courthouse in 1941 and continued his practice until his recent illness. He was a Paul Harris fellow of the Bossier Rotary Club, a member of Cypress Lodge #089, El Karubah Temple, the High Twelve, and a life-long member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his children Judge Cecil P. Campbell II and his wife Sherry of Bossier City, LA and Anne Campbell of Baton Rouge and his grandchildren Cecil P. Campbell III (Chip), Jason Campbell, and Laura Allen Zuelke.
