Rev. Everett O. Altic, age 93 of Mount Vernon, died Saturday June 18, 2005 at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. Everett was born October 29, 1911, in Drake County, Ohio to Rolland and Lillie (Lochner) Altic. He was an ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene and had served several churches in the Pittsburgh District and in the Central Ohio District of the Church of the Nazarene. Everett was a faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon where he was a willing worker on many of the churches ministries.

Surviving are his wife Nellie (Marsh) Altic; three daughters Lois (Joe) Wilson of Westerville, Donna (Robert) Hebets of Mount Vernon and Dr. Theresa (David) Kestly of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three sons Ronald (Deborah) Altic of Clearwater, Florida, David Altic of Lakeside, Montana, and John (Tina) Altic of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; his brother Donald (Jean) Altic of West Milton, Ohio and two sisters Margaret Brandon of Dayton and Ellen Mire of Mount Vernon. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers Robert Altic, Ralph Altic, Dennis Altic, Leonard Altic and Ned Altic and four sisters Rose Schnopp, Gladys Martin, Gertrude Hill and Violet Fine.
