Family-Placed Obituary

ALBRITTON, A. Earl 95, went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2007 at his home in Manassas, Virginia, with his family at his side. He was born October 4, 1912 in Tuscola, Illinois to Nathan and Helen (nee Wall). When he graduated from high school in 1939, his father was recuperating from injuries he had suffered as a Deputy Sheriff. Earl turned down an opportunity to attend law school in order to take over his dad's job as janitor of the court house until he had healed. Moving where Depression Era jobs were available, Earl met Adele Recker in St. Louis where they were married November 19, 1938. During WWII he landed in Europe fifty-nine days after D-Day with the 838th Ordnance Depot Company which supported Patton's troops with supplies. Upon his return to civilian life, he became a salesman. Often Earl said, "I never sold anything, but I had a lot of people buy things from me." He touched many lives during his long career in sales, especially by not being pushy. He will be remembered for his loving generosity, his wonderful sense of humor, and his love for playing Hands and Feet. His wife preceded him in death in 1988. The best Dad ever leaves as his legacy his devoted daughter Kaycee Emilienburg, and her husband Jon, whom he always called the best son-in-law in the world. Granddaughter Erin Kay Greer, her husband Eric, and their children Ayden Shepard, Camille Greer, and a baby due in December, of Corbin, Kentucky, granddaughter Shannon Ennis, her husband Tony, and their children Anthony, Randi, and Michael of Catlett, Virginia will all miss their beloved Grandpa Earl. Charles Runion II is also included in Earl's loving family circle. Dear friend lona Strack of Troy, Ohio and her children Michael Strack, Pamela Strack, and Sheila Wertz who all called Earl their "Almost Dad" will miss him, also, as well their families. In lieu of flowers, friends may consider gifts in Earl's name to the Senior Center of Manassas, 9320 Mosby Street, Manassas, Virginia 20110. Arrangements by Found and Sons Funeral Homes Lee Chapel 8521 Sudley Road Manassas, Virginia.
