An early settler of Red Rock, Henry moved the family to Albany and became a charter member of the Albany Christian Church.
He later moved to West Stockbridge, Berkshire, Massachusetts and on February 8, 1855 Henry was appointed the Justice of the Peace for West Stockbridge.
While in West Stockbridge, Henry owned a carriage shop on Main Street, The Dorr Carriage Shop.
Henry was a a member of the Masons and was buried under the auspices of the Chatham Lodge at Red Rock.
