G. John Brunner, 74, of Windsor went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015.

John was born in Windsor to Gerhart and Mary Brunner on Feb. 24, 1940. He graduated Windsor High in 1958 and attended UNC from 1958-62. On July 1, 1960 he married Sherron Morgan and they had four sons.

John worked at the family business, John Brunner & Company, founded in 1929, his entire life except for a brief period at Kodak in the early 1970s. He was an avid collector of Minneapolis-Moline tractors and memorabilia. John was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church for 50 years and retired after 25 years with the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department.

John leaves behind his wife; 4 sons; 7 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at the Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 328 Walnut Street in Windsor.
