Obituary
After an illness of five weeks, Grandma Rush passed away at her home in Lamonta, Oregon, August 27, 1926, at the age of 87 years 8 months and two days.

Mary Elizabeth Breeding was born in the town of Jefferson in Osage County, Missouri, December 25, 1838. With her parents she crossed the plains by ox team in 1851 and settled near Eugene Oregon.

On March the 12th, 1857, she was united in marriage to Samuel Rush at Eugene, Oregon. In 1867 they moved to Jackson county, Oregon, where they lived until 1884 when they came to Central Oregon, where she lived until her death.

There were six children born to this union, four of whom survive: three daughters, Mrs. M.A. Robinson of Medford, Oregon; Mrs. Nellie Springs of Rosalia, Washington; Mrs. J.T. Robinson of The Dalles, Oregon, and one son, J.C. Rush of Lamonta, Oregon.

There are also 13 grand children, 26 great grand children and one great great grand child. She was united with the Christian church in 1884 and lived a faithful christian life until the end.

Her daughter, Mrs. J.T. Robinson, son John, and grand daughters, Mrs. Glen Ridgeway and Mrs. Mason Grant, were with her during her last illness.
