Leona Louise Adkins Milburn of Moore went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 12, at 8:30 p.m. Mrs. Milburn was born in Carter, Oklahoma on September 21, 1919.

She married O. M. Milburn July 16, 1938 at her parents home near Foss, Oklahoma. She and her husband were pastors for over 40 years in the Church of the Nazarene in Texas and Oklahoma. She faithfully served alongside him working in the church with children, youth, and adults in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, local and district Nazarene Mission International, counseling parishioners, and in a ministry of prayer for others.

Mrs. Milburn is survived by her three children, Jerry and Janice of Moore, Janice and Merrill Williams of Dededo, Guam and Judy and Don Blair of St. Louis, Missouri, six grandchildren, three great grandsons, and one brother, Bill Adkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lafayette and Verna Adkins, her husband of 59 years, O. M. Milburn, and her daughter in law, Jollene Milburn.

Funeral services for Mrs. Milburn will be held Thursday, February 17, at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 7301 South Walker Avenue, where she has been a member since her retirement in 1985. Pastor Stan Tolar will be officiating the services. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Norman. Services are under the direction of The John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
