He grew up and went to school in Cooperton Valley. L.B. served in the Army in World War II, stationed in the Phillipines. He married Dorothy Davis on August 7, 1945. After getting out of the Army, the couple lived in Guymon, Oklahoma and Hobart, Oklahoma. The family moved to Lawton in the 1950's where L.B. worked at Ft. Sill in the Transportation Motor Pool Division. The couple became the proud parents of three sons and were members of the Northside Baptist Church. After retiring in 1977, the couple enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time at the lake with family and friends. The past 25 years the couple lived in Oklahoma City close to family.
Survivors include his two sons, Glen A. Adams and Gloria Jessup of Tuttle, Oklahoma and Danny and Judy Adams of Claremore, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, brother Glen E. Adams of Kansas City, Kansas along with multiple nieces, nephews and extended family.
L.B. is preceded in death by his parents, Luther Bert and Mary Adams, wife Dorothy, son Gaylon, two brothers James and Carl Adams and three sisters Ethel Slaughter, Jewel Parr and Viola Lingren.
