Mrs. Margaret E. Durrance of Fort Meade died of heart failure Saturday (Nov. 3, 2001) at North Greeville Hospital, Travelers Rest, S.C. She was 81.
Born in Tilman on Oct. 19, 1920, she came to Fort Meade at an early age. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Durwood Durrance; daughters, Vickie I. Commuso, Lake Villa, IL., Ginger Durrance, Bartow, Janet E. Hancock, Fort Meade, Danna Kirchof, Missouri City, Texas; brother, Howard Martin, Louisville, KY; sisters, Ruby Meeks, Arcadia, Mary Alice Knight, Lakeland; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McLean Funeral Home, 306 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 307 Broadway, Fort Meade.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
