Roger was born on April 27, 1939, in Rome, Wis., to Dewey and Augusta (Boerst) Boos.
He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1957.
Roger served his country in the United States Marines from 1957-60.
He married Judi Miller on Feb. 24, 1962, at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Jefferson.
Roger worked for more than 30 years for a local construction company before he and his brothers started Boos Brothers Construction Company. He and Judi also owned and operated the Village Inn in Rome for eight years.
Roger was a big fan of all Badger sports and baseball. He played football and baseball in high school and at Land-O-Lakes. He also played softball. After his playing days, he liked to go to Land-O-Lakes to watch and give "advice." He also was a very passionate Brewers fan, never missing a game.
His other interests were hunting, especially bow hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved having a lot of beautiful flowers every summer.
Roger is survived by his wife, Judi; children, Barry (Charmaine) Boos of Rome, Dawn (Wayne) Luebke of Whitewater, Darrin (Tracie) Boos of Palmyra; grandchildren, James, Scott and Jonathan Luebke, Morgan (Sebastien) Fortin, Bryce, Owen and Aby Boos; great-grandchild, Connor; stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Surlak and Derrek (Stephanie) Surlak; stepgreat-grandchildren, Rilynne and Kaydence; brothers, Ralph (Shirley) Boos of Rome and Wayne (Shirley) Boos of Rome; sister-in-law, Janice Boos of Sullivan; brother-in-law, Chet (Mary) Trebitowski of Sullivan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Delores Trebitowski and Shirley French; brothers, Donnie and Royce Boos; and nephew, Dennis Trebitows.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Rome with the Rev. Michael Mannisto officiating.
A visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 22, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave. in Fort Atkinson, and on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will follow at the Hoffman Cemetery in Rome.
