Ellen Marie (Chachi) Neiper, age 80, of Moosic, died Sunday morning in the Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit - Wilkes Barre. Born in Nanticoke on April 7, 1934, daughter of the late Edward Charles and Kathleen Barrett Neiper, Ellen was a graduate of Moosic High School, Class of 1952. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Capital Records, Topps Chewing Gum Company and Schott Glass. She enjoyed bowling and completing crossword puzzles, but her favorite pastime was spending time with "the kids" and extended family. Ellen will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her.

Of Roman Catholic faith, she was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Taylor.

She is survived by her brother, Edward Peter Neiper of Mine Hill, New Jersey; "the kids", Suzanne Dushko of Duryea, Kimberly Reilly of Plains, Frank Dushko of Duryea, Lori Ann Dushko of Norwich, New York, and Joseph Dushko of Sherburne, N.Y.; her niece, Christine Neiper of Mine Hills, N.J.; her nephews, Steven Neiper of Mine Hills, N.J., and Michael Neiper, Hamburg, N.J.; a great niece and nephew and "the kid's kids and their kids".

Her family would like to thank the entire staff of Celtic Hospice for the care given to Ellen during her stay with them and also the staff at Highland Manor.
Private blessing services by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli, Divine Mercy Parish Pastor, will be held in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Marcy Cemetery in Duryea. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ellen's name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Virginia, 22312.
