Tuesday morning he walked over to Baldy Bowser's place and came home about noon.
He ate a hearty dinner, sat around for 2 or 3 hours, telling his wife he felt good except for a pain in his back. Finally he laid down on the floor and apparently went to sleep.
Around 5 p.m., the family's attention was attracted to him rolling over and gasping. When they got to him he was dead.
A doctor was sent for, but he said the man had died instantly.
He was in the 64th year of his age and is survived by his wife and several children, as follows: Frank of Mosgrove, Lizzie of Rimer, John, Alta, Margie, George, and Nelda, at home.
Funeral services will be in the late home, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in Kittanning Cemetery.
