Mr. William "Bill" Buckner of Benson, MN, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 1996 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

He was born on September 2, 1907 in Moundsville, WV to the late Wiley and Della (Bennett) Buckner.

Mr. Buckner served in the Army during WWII. He worked as a farmer and later he was an industrial salesman and supervisor retiring in 1972.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Alice M. (Hoiland) Buckner in 1987; son, Donald Wayne (Jane) in 1981; infant daughters, Marilyn Claire in 1931 and Judith Ann in 1947; brother Fredrick Buckner, and sisters, Mildred (Leland) Kussatz of Morris, MN; Mabel (the late Ernest) Greco of Plum, PA; and Lucille (the late Charles) Walters of Keansburg, NJ.

Mr. Buckner is survived by two sons, Allen (Glenita) Buckner of Glenwood and Bob (Judy) Buckner of Benson; three daughters, Beverly (Marshall) Skaalrud of Robbinsdale, Ramona (James) Randgaard of Waite Park and Laurel (Daryl) Johnson of Manohman; and sisters, Pearl (the late Mike) Kinosz of Creighton, PA; Edith (Dale) Burton of Natrona Heights, PA; Alice (Ralph) Salvati of Hempfield Township, PA; Margaret (Henry) Gutknecht of Upper Burrell, PA; and Lillian (Charles) Baugher of Myrtle Beach, SC; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Our Redeemer Cemetery in Benson, MN.
