Arwood Custer Powell (known as AC to many) went to be with the Lord Sat. Nov 25, 1989. Born in Valiant, OK. Sept. 30, 1925, he was the eldest of 6. He moved to OKC at an early age. He was an Army veteran the 147th Infantry division during WW II. He served as a staff sergeant in the Philipines, and was decorated with many honors including 2 Purple Hearts. In 1953 he married Irene Lovelace and started a small business cleaning septic tanks and from there grew with the liquid waste industry where his knowledge and expertise set standards which are still followed in the industry today. Most known for his kind heart, generosity and sense of humor, he will be dearly missed. Preceded in death by both parents and 1 brother, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Irene, 2 daughters; Linda and Vicki, 3 granddaugters; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
